Sue Elaine (Ellis) Still, 77, of Darlington Md, went home to be with her family and friends in Heaven on June 23, 2020.
She was born May 26, 1943 in Luray, Virginia. Her family moved to Baltimore, Md where she grew up on the farm. She graduated from Parkville High School in 1961. In 1968, she married Russell Still and moved to Havre de Grace, Md. They were married for 31 years prior to his death in July1999.
She was a cashier for Acme Markets for 17 years and retired in 1980.
Mom enjoyed crocheting, sewing, bowling, dancing, baking with her grandchildren, yard sales, fishing, bingo and cruising in her candy apple red 1957 Chevy, road trips, The Andy Griffith Show, The Price is Right and The Little Rascals. Her favorite activity though was simply spending time with family and friends. She always looked forward to visits and always had a smile and a light in her eyes when she spent time with you.
She leaves behind her daughter, Deborah L. Reed and husband Charles (Buddy), 4 grandchildren, Charlie (Buddy) Reed, Krista Sue Reed, Kelly Michelle Reed and Kyle Andrew Reed, all of whom she adored with all her heart and would do literally anything for. She also leaves behind 6 great grandchildren, Erik Suit, Madelyn Reed, Kaelyn Suit, Kameryn Reed, Emerson Mahan, and Ryleigh Reed. She is also survived by her sister in law Elaine Ellis, her nephews Cliff, Will and Steve Ellis and their families and many friends. She was predeceased by her father, Clifford Amos Ellis, her mother, Anita Cleo Ellis, and her brother, Kenneth Amos Ellis and her beloved dog of 16 years Corrigan,
A Memorial BBQ will be held on July 11, 2020 starting at 1 pm. The address 3903 Paddrick Rd Darlington Md 21034. It is a “come as you are” gathering to celebrate and honor Mom. Her final resting place will be in Luray Virginia at Morning Star Lutheran Church.
Preparations for Sue are under the care of Highview Funeral Home in Fallston, Md.
