We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Highview Funeral and Cremation Services
It is with deep sadness that we announce that our beloved Steven Daniel Myers passed away at the age of 68 on August 11, 2021. He courageously battled multiple life-threatening health issues since December 2020. Steven is survived by his loving parents William and Barbara Myers, sisters Janet McKercher and her husband Gary, Linda Frisch and her husband Joseph. He was preceded in death by his niece Bethany Frisch, and survived by nieces Theresa Mabe and her husband Scott, and Sarah McKercher and Alyssa McKercher. He is also survived by his cousins Candace Johnson and her husband Hal, and Diane Johnson, as well as other grand nephews.
Steven was born on February 13, 1953 in Kansas, and moved to Maryland with his family when he was very young. After graduating from Towson Sr High, he worked as a carpet installer for one of the local carpet stores, and then worked at Safelite Autoglass for decades until his retirement several years ago and was recognized as one of their outstanding employees. He cherished living in a stone cabin in Butler, Maryland, and he will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of the outdoors and especially for his passion and skill for fishing. Steve was a man who was able to truly enjoy the simple things in life, whether it was building sandcastles at the beach, stargazing at the night sky, gardening, playing with his pets, or watching one of his favorite cowboy westerns. Steve was a gifted photographer as well as a talented artist and loved to take his sketch pad with him and draw when going to some of his favorite local establishments. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and pet animals.
Funeral arrangements are pending at this time.
