For years she enjoyed organizing bus trips, hanging with the Red Hatters and Jarrettsville Homemakers in addition to making crafts with her friends at Highland Senior Activity Center. Her most cherished job was being a mother and a homemaker. Supporting her children during their school years was also one of her passions. (She could be seen and heard at many cross country races across the county, state and up and down the coastline!) Shirley opened her home and heart to multiple exchange students from national and international locations. In her spare time she enjoyed camping, sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, wreath making, cultivating her amazing poinsettias, creating painted crafts, posting on Facebook and making her beautiful greeting cards. Her favorite place to visit was the beach.
