In Megan's own words" Family before anything!" She cherished the time spent with family and friends, and especially her grandparents. Her brother, Zach was her biggest champion, and they shared a very special bond. Megan looked forward to and was eager to spend as much time as possible with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. As her parents, we will cherish every moment that we spent together. We could not have asked for a more loving daughter than Megan!
Throughout Megan's life, she overcame many obstacles that were placed before her, but through it all she was resilient and never gave up. She always found a way to add a positive spin to any situation, especially those that were difficult. When most people would have thrown in the towel, Megan picked it up and ran with it. God gave Megan the gift of seeing not what was there, but the potential of what could be.
Megan graduated from Manchester Valley High School with recognition for exemplary service learning hours as well as Honor Roll Award through all her hard work and dedication. Megan continued her education at Carrol Community College so that she would be able to work in the healthcare field. She studied hard and recently earned her certification in both CPR and AED. To say she was proud of her achievement was an understatement! We as her family ask that you consider finding some small way to give back to other, as she was so passionate about over the years. Some small ways Megan gave back over the years were donating blood regularly, registering to be an organ donor, volunteering time at school, helping at an animal shelter, and adopting a rescue animal. We are asking people to do any random, but purposeful acts of kindness. We ask that you embrace the philosophy that Megan lived by each day.
We will be having a celebration of Life for Megan on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 1:00pm at the American Legion in the outside covered pavilion so please dress accordingly. Our family is asking that you either bring a dog or a cat toy that will be donated in her honor at our local Humane Society or canned goods that will be donated to a local food bank.
