Obituary

John Andrew Meisel was born on February 6, 1925 in West Baltimore. He was the middle child of 8 siblings (3 sisters and 4 brothers). He graduated from Calvert Hall College High School and enlisted in the Coast Guard, serving during WWII. He worked for the IRS for 35 years.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Mary Jane, who preceded him in death. Together in retirement they owned and operated “Meisel Merry Motor Tours” for many years from their home in Ellicott City, taking senior citizens on bus tours up and down the East Coast.

They were also active and devoted grandparents to their 4 grandchildren, James, Robert, Kristin (Howard), and David Ivy, as well as to his many nieces and nephews.
