Heather Ann Lynch, age 41 of Elkton, died suddenly on February 3, 2021. Born in Princeton, New Jersey, daughter of Mary Elizabeth Lynch (Betty) and the late Jeffrey D. Hooper.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her son, Lucas Lyon, age 7; brother, Matthew Hooper, of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, and her partner, Michael Lyon, of Elkton, Maryland.
Heather attended C. Milton Wright High School in Bel Air, Maryland, and graduated with a degree in Nursing from Cecil Community College. She previously worked as a registered nurse at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital and at the time of her death she was employed at Genesis Assisted Living in Towson. She was devoted to her son and enjoyed trips to the beach, drawing, writing, and being with friends.
She is also survived by her aunts and uncles; Vivian Flanigan (John); Marge Calvert (Dick); Paul Lynch, Jr. (Leah); Robert Lynch (Barbara); Richard Lynch (Debbie), and Patti Bankert (Bill) along with numerous cousins.
Heather struggled a lifetime with addictions while achieving success as a mother, nurse, and friend to many. Her mother expresses her gratitude, love, and appreciation to the numerous individuals who selflessly provided unending love and support to Heather through life’s challenging journey.
A private interment at St. John’s Long Green will be scheduled in the Spring where Heather will be buried next to her maternal grandparents, Paul Eugene Lynch, Sr. & Mary Kahoe Lynch.
